Where are the people at HR events?

From Chicago to Cologne, from Prague over Paris to London. It was a mix of types of events and sizes of the audience: conferences with over 10.000 people attending lectures and workshops, your typical trade show with hundreds of exhibitioners, informal, invite only meetups with barely 20 guests. This week I’m off to HR Vision in Amsterdam. With HR Tech Valley and Thalento® we are planning to attend and/or (co-organize) a number of other events till the end of the year.

Integration and cooperation

For starters, I want to share a long lasting frustration. Why do we insist on calling the most valuable part of any organisation ‘resources’? It is wrong in so many ways. It still baffles me that as an industry we haven’t been able to do better than “Human Resources” or “Human Relations”, which is slightly better but doesn’t cover it.
