To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the educational concept "College with the laptop" of the Provincial College of Limburg (www.phl.be), the PHL Laptop Awards were organized on the 26th of May 2011.

All former students of the PHL who developed an innovative ICT project could apply for the PHL Laptop Awards. An important condition was that the projects should create a solid improvement and offer a clear added value for companies, educational, social and/or cultural environments.

From an impressive range of innovative ICT applications, Thalento® was selected the second laureate. First laureate was Bert Vissers with his project Bivolino (www.bivolino.com).

A jury of prominent business experts determined the two laureates. This jury consisted of Bob Lavigne (honorary general manager PHL and founder of the PHL - Laptop Project), Johan Van Overtveldt (editor Trends), Ivo Vandekerckhove (Editor The Importance of Limburg), Bart Becks (Chairman IBBT and founder and co-CEO Sonic Angel) and Andre Knaepen (President CEGEKA group).

The jury was very impressed by the Thalento® platform and especially praised its international potential.
